Cindy, hopefully that theory is answered before my time runs out. If I’m around when a new building stands upon the ground, I’ll be watching to see if it inherits old residents.

On a similar note, my house is build on an old Indian hunting ground, and though my house hasn’t had a chance to acquire its own ghosts, my wife once was woke by what she thought were voices of those sitting around a campfire. Could it be that she heard voices of hunter’s past? Interesting stuff…

Well, if the theory that buildings retain memories of those who used to reside within its four walls is true, it is possible that a memory of the very building itself remains after destruction. Maybe the ghosts now inhabit a ghost house, and once a new building is erected on the spot it too will be haunted.
